A love for anatomy and fascination with the human body’s potential is what drew Lara to massage therapy. In her pre-RMT life, Lara dedicated all her energy to being a highly competitive contemporary ballet dancer, and in her practice, gets great pleasure in assisting other fellow dancers and movers! As an RMT, Lara has had the opportunity to work with high level track and field athletes and as a member of the wellness team for the BC Bike Race. Today, Lara’s practice is very diverse – assisting those recovering from motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries or orthopedic surgeries, coping with changes during pregnancy, or managing chronic or persistent pain conditions.
Lara believes that massage therapy can be a great facilitator in aiding your body with it’s natural healing process. Treatments will vary greatly depending on the patient; massage therapy modalities, depth of pressure being used, and treatment goals are always aspects that will be tailored to the individual. In her treatment room, Lara’s goal is to provide a calm, safe and inclusive environment for all patients.
Lara looks forward to helping you return to doing the activities that you love!
